The small print
Every cookie this site can set, what it does, and how to change your mind — on one page.
On your first visit this site asks one question — we call it the Seal. Necessary is always on — on this site that is one cookie: the one that remembers your choice. Analytics and Advertising stay off unless you switch them on. Neither choice affects your access or your price, and declining is exactly as easy as accepting.
That is the complete list today. The gate is also wired for Google Analytics, TikTok, Pinterest and X, but none of those are in use; if one is ever switched on, it loads behind the same consent and this page will say so. Checkout itself happens on the secure pages of our payment processor; any cookies set there are theirs, on their own domain, covered by their own policy.
If you accepted Advertising and you buy the book, our server also sends the purchase confirmation directly to Meta, so the measurement survives browser restrictions. It carries the order value and the pixel identifiers above — details in the Privacy Policy. Without Advertising consent, this never happens.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honour it as a choice in its own right: for US visitors it is treated as an opt-out of ad measurement, applied with Meta’s Limited Data Use flag where required.
The Seal reopens whenever you want. Your new choice overwrites the old one on the spot.
